Ruth Moreno Compean

RUTH MORENO COMPEAN, 65, of Hempstead, passed away Friday, September 30, 2016, at her home. Ruth was born April 5, 1951, in Brookshire, Texas. The daughter of Joe, Jr. and Tony (Cobia) Moreno, she grew up and attended school in Brookshire. On August 27, 1969, Ruth married Wallace Compean in Hempstead. They made their home in Hempstead before moving to Brookshire in 1979. Wallace preceded Ruth in death on March 25, 1983. Ruth was self-employed as a housekeeper. She enjoyed working on their ranch and taking care of the animals, and loved her grandchildren and spending time with them. She is survived by her DAUGHTER: Beatrice Compean of Brookshire; SON: Victor Compean of Hempstead; GRANDCHILDREN: Priscilla Ann Tellez (Beto) of Hempstead, Marco Antonio Rangel, Jr. (Daizy Rodriguez), also of Hempstead, Veronica Marie Compean (Roger Arellano) of Brookshire, Meagan Garner (Shaun Patrick) of Livingston, Lindsey Sloan and Caleb Sloan, both of Mississippi, and John Riley Ortiz of Bellville; and GREAT GRANDCHILDREN: Beto, Jr., Vanessa, Briella, Victoria, Marco, III, William, Ryder and Raedan and Bentley. Ruth is also survived by her SISTERS: Lupe Moreno (Jimmy Fletcher) of Splendora and Rebecca Moreno of Hempstead; BROTHER: Pete Moreno (Julia) of Katy; and many other dear friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brothers, Henry Moreno and Benny Moreno.
