Richard Neil Joiner

RICHARD NEIL JOINER, 73, of Bellville, Texas, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2016, in Houston, Texas. He was born September 15, 1942, in Bay City, Texas, the son of Cecil Orville and Fern Elizabeth (McCulley) Joiner. Richard grew up and attended schools in the in the Bay City area, graduating from Brazosport High School. He also attended Wharton County junior College for two years. Richard was employed with Dow Chemical Company for over 33 years. He was united in marriage to Joan Threlkeld on August 24, 1986, in Sweeney, Texas. They have made their home in Bellville for 13 years. Richard enjoyed listening to Blue Grass Music, but his love was playing and singing. He was recently employed in Brenham, where he made CAPOs for guitars. He is survived by his wife of 30 years: Joan Joiner of Bellville; sister: Sandy Talen and her husband, Kees, of Austin; brother: Cecil Joiner and his wife, Lana, of Conroe. Richard is also survived by his three nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Fern Joiner and his sister, Susan. A come and go Celebration of Life for Mr. Joiner will be held from 12: Noon - 3:00 P.M., Saturday. September 10, 2016, at the Coushatte RV Park, located at 2812 Nelius Rd, in Bellville.
