Lloyd Allen Woods

LLOYD ALLEN WOODS, was born in Pawnee, Texas on May 15, 1935, to Irvin Allen Woods and Grace Victoria (Decas) Woods. He walked with Jesus to heaven on Thursday, June 2, 2016, at the wonderful age of 81. He was welcomed by the love of his life, Betty Elliott Woods, who has been preparing him a place since October 5, 2014. He was a father, grandfather, brother, mentor and friend. He married Betty on February 24, 1956, in Hearne, Texas. He served the City of Brookshire as their Mayor for 6 years, and was a member of the Brookshire Volunteer Fire Department. Lloyd served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Corporal during the Korean Conflict. Lloyd worked 30 years plus in construction as a carpenter and wood craftsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his favorite occupation was being PAPA. He leaves behind four children: Gary, David and his wife, Melissa, Laurie, and Lezlie; grandchildren: Jason and wife, Aileen, Terra and husband, Clay, Zach and wife, Chelsea, Blake and wife, Heather, Lance and fiancé, Lauren, Ross, and David; great grandchildren: Riley, Shelby, Jacob, Brody, Aiden, Brinlee and Emery; brothers: Joe and Randy; caretakers: Joyce, Ruby, and Trish; and many other relatives and dear friends.
