Elda Vacek, 91, was born on November 17, 1924 in Kenney, Texas, the first child of Theodore and Matilda Wernli Dahse. She passed away March 11, 2016 at her home in Bellville, Texas. As a young child her family moved and she was raised on a farm near Needville and graduated from Richmond High School in 1942. Elda married Louis Vacek, the love of her life, on August 22, 1944 in Rosenberg. She and Louie moved to Bellville in 1951 to take over ownership of the Pearl Beer distributorship in Austin County. She was Louie''s constant companion and helpmate. She was an active member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Bellville and supported her husband in all of his endeavors. They were truly blessed with many friends and all the things they enjoyed doing together. Elda enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing, traveling, playing dominoes and entertaining family and friends at their home and camp house. Survivors include her son Garry Vacek and wife Debbie of Austin, daughter Carol Turner and husband Mike of Bellville, grandchildren Angela (Alex) Castano, Wayne (Melissa) Vacek, Stephen (Kim) Vacek, Jennifer Turner, Mason Turner (Tammie Ellington), 14 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving her are sisters and brothers-in-law Jean Nell and Don Tarver and Betty and Jack Clark, Ellen Warren and Doris Vacek. She was preceded in death by her parents Theo and Matilda, husband Louis Vacek, brother Nelson Dahse, and special Aunt Lena Wernli.
