Marie Kathleen Swanson

Marie Kathleen Swanson, 79, of Simonton, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2016. Marie was born on March 22, 1936, in Smethport, PA. Her parents were Fred and Ruby (Bullock) Grove. She graduated from High School, and wanted everyone to know that she had the joy of Christ in her heart, and was blessed with love, children, family, and friends. Her hobbies were crafts, flower arranging and cake decorating. She was predeceased by her parents, several brothers, and sisters; and her two great grandchildren, Angelia and Christopher. She is survived by two daughters: Janis Hill of Simonton, and Denise James of Houston; grandchildren: Connie, Sabrina, Amanda and Crystal; great grandchildren: Dylan, Lexi, Lynzie, Raymond, Desire, Lilly, Isaiah and Maya. A Memorial Service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Fulshear, at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 30, 2015 with Dr. Mark Welshimer, officiating. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made in Marie''s name to the First United Methodist Church, PO Box 100, Fulshear, Texas 77441, or to the Ft. Bend Senior Center, PO Box 1488, Rosenberg, TX 77471.
