John Robert Ryan

JOHN ROBERT RYAN, 85, of Pecos, Texas, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016, at his home in Bellville, Texas. He was born August 11, 1930, in Pecos, Texas, the son of Francis Herbert and Leliaetta (Cartwright) Ryan. John grew up and attended schools in Pecos, graduating from Pecos High School. John married Connis Knight on July 12, 1974, in Houston, Texas. They made their home in Bellville, Texas, and were members of the Welcome Lutheran Church in Welcome, Texas. John owned and operated Ryan Ranch, a Simmental cattle ranch, along with his wife, Connis, until her death in 2013. John is survived by his NIECES AND NEPHEWS: Kathleen Ryan, Allison Scott, Martha Stafford, Laura Farnum, Michael Ryan, John Ryan, William Hanson, Kevin Ryan and Richard Farnum; DEAR FRIEND OF THE FAMILY: Dwayne Schulz and wife, Kerry, of New Ulm; and their children: Sean, Britani, Walker and many dear family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Connis Ryan, parents, Francis and Leliaette Ryan, brothers, Earl Hanson, William Hanson and Francis H.
