Ethel Mae (Gooch) Saeger, 89, of Brookshire, Texas, passed away Monday, December 7, 2015, in Brookshire. Ethel was born July 15, 1926, in Chattanooga, Tennessee to parents Lenord and Annie (France) Gooch. She grew up and attended school in Lenoir City and Chattanooga. On September 30, 1941, Ethel married Jeff Clifford Saeger in Georgia. During her working years, Ethel owned and operated a beauty shop. She has made her home in Brookshire, Texas. She enjoyed sewing and cooking. Ethel is survived by her daughter: Ruth Ann Saeger of Brookshire; son: Jeff Clifford Saeger, Jr. and his wife, Juanita, also of Brookshire; grandchildren: George Willhite, Michelle Saenger, Anna Ruth Watts and Jeff Saenger, III; great grandchildren: Rachael Nicole Willhite, Kathryn Mae Simpson, Briana Lynn Simpson, Aston Watts, Cheyenne Saeger and Cassandra Saeger; brother: Don Gooch and his wife, June, of Harrimon, Tennessee; sisters: Rita and Joyce, and many other friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Anna Ruth Saeger, her grandson, Jeffery Willhite and her husband, Jeff Clifford Saeger.
