GEORGIA EDNA (SIBLEY) WIED, 85, of Sealy, passed Saturday, November 21, 2015, at her home. Georgia was born September 16, 1930, in Houston, Texas. The daughter of Henry Clay and Edna Bell (O''Brien) Sibley, she grew up and attended school in the Klein-Spring area, graduating from Wunche (Spring High) School in 1950. On March 17, 1951, Georgia married Henry O. Wied in Klein, Texas. They made their home in Spring where they owned and operated a dairy farm. They later opened the Edna Café in Klein. In 1969, Henry and Georgia moved to Austin County where they raised cattle and farmed. Georgia was later employed at Perry Brothers and then Superior Furniture which later became Wilco Furniture. Since her retirement, she has made her home in Sealy. Henry preceded Georgia in death in 1990. Georgia enjoyed mowing her yard and gardening. She was also an avid fan of soap operas and games shows. Georgia also enjoyed making her favorite dish, broccoli and cheese casserole. A member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sealy, Georgia would call the senior members of the church twice daily to check on them. She is survived by her DAUGHTER: Leisha Ann Harrison (Mike Maples), of Houston; SONS: Henry Clay Wied (Debra), of Tomball, Carl Reginal Wied (Carol), of Bastrop, and George Fritz Wied (Janice), of Buckhorn; and GRANDCHILDREN: Henry C. Wied, Jr. (Kristi), Cherie Arendse (David), Misty Ugarte (Rubin), Matthew Wied (Melanie), Jennifer Davis (Bradley), Rachel Villalovoz (Michael), Andrew Wied (Mimi), Buckshot Wied (Adrienne), and Mac Wied (Rachel). Georgia is also survived by her 20 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN: Kalli, Meagan, Zachary, Ashlynn, Austin, Maddison, Bo, Nathan, Preston, Myranda, Noah, Lillian, Fynn, Laney, Bryson, Brooke, Sommer, Lulu, Dawson and Cannon; and SPECIAL NIECE: Beverly Wienecke and numerous other nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry O. Wied, her parents, her siblings and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
