Mary Jo George

MARY JO MCFADDEN GEORGE, 81, of Bellville, Texas, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015, in Houston, Texas. She was born September 27, 1933, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Chester Earl and Rosamond Walker McFadden. Mary Jo moved to Texas, when she was just 3 years old with her family in 1936. She grew up and attended schools in Sugar Land. On March 5, 1954, she married William George, in Sugar Land, Texas. Mary Jo enjoyed reading, sewing, knitting and painting in her spare time. She was a member of the Sewing Club and an active member in the Order of the Eastern Star #611 in Bellville, and O.E.S. Rainbow Girls in the Fort Bend County area of Sugar Land, Missouri City and Rosenberg. Mary Jo is survived by her husband, William George of Bellville; daughters: Virginia Lynne Fitzgerald and her husband, Steve, of Spring, TX, and Leslie Susan Alexander and her husband, Steve, of El Dorado, AR; son: Michael Lee George and his wife, Doris, of Rockport, TX; grandchildren: Kelsi, Kirk, Chase, Carmen, Tammy, and Jaime and 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister: Virginia Spears of Wharton, TX; brothers: James McFadden of Grapeland, TX, and Frankie McFadden of Austin, Texas.
