Reginald (Reggie) Leslie Parks, 51, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 in Katy, Texas. He was born in Rotan, Texas on July 12, 1964 to Don Leslie Parks and Sally Leona (Horton) Pace. Reggie grew up in the Roby, Texas area, graduating from Roby High School. He attended Western Texas College in Snyder, Texas where he obtained an Associate Degree in Electronics. He applied his talents to multiple career fields and was truly a 'jack of all trades'. On March 16, 1991, in Garland, Texas, Reggie married Teresa Marie Osborn and on May 28, 1997, he became Dad to Shane Leslie Parks. Their life together was spent between Texas, Wyoming and Alaska where they had many adventures on their journey together. He loved camping, hiking, kayaking, caring for his aquarium, watching his favorite sports with particular note to the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers, hanging out with our cat and woodworking and being able to share his works. He is survived by his Wife, Teresa Marie Parks, and Son, Shane Leslie Parks, in Brookshire, Texas; Mother, Sally Leona Parks, Sister, Patricia Parks Claxton, and her Husband, Gerald, and Brother, Jimmy Don Parks, all of Snyder, Texas; Nieces, Allison Claxton of Snyder, Texas, and Artemis Van Slooten of Snohomish, WA; Nephew, Ryan Claxton of Snyder, Texas; Sister-in-law, Oriana Zenda Osborn, and her Husband, Timonthy Van Slooten, of Snohomish, WA; Mother and Father-in-law, Charles Richard and Janice Marie Osborn, of Port Townsend, WA. Teresa and Shane will journey to Yellowstone National Park next year in late spring / early summer to celebrate his life and spread his ashes at the overlook of a favorite hike and other points in the park. Family and friends are all welcome to join.
