Lorine Rudloff Eckermann passed on August 9, 2015 at the age of 86 years, 3 months. She was a lifetime resident of western Austin County from birth on May 9, 1929. After more than 84 years of near excellent health and viability, she passed from age-related complications in St. Joseph''s Hospital in Bryan, Texas. Lorine was a member of the Methodist Church. This faith affiliation was the constant center of her life. It began in Haw Creek from birth, and continued in Industry until now. She participated actively in nearly every role of this church at one time or another. All her children were baptized and confirmed there. Lorine taught religious education for many years, and attended the women''s group events with many friends; including the annual "Secret Friend". In addition to rearing a large family, Lorine contributed strongly to the founding of Eckermann''s Meat Market in circa 1960; and, performed substantial contributions to the operations of this business for more than 50 years. With a heavy work schedule being normal, she always found time for family and friends. She lived and worked in a strong German culture and spoke English and German fluently. Lorine was an excellent preparer of foods with seven-course German meals being routine. Lorine was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Eckermann, Sr. after marriage of 44 years; her parents Monroe and Toni Rudloff; brother Harold Rudloff and wife Bernice; orphan brother Elwood Schmidt; step son Lee Fred Eckermann and wife Deloris; and granddaughter Debra Budnik. She is survived by Joyce Mae and husband Carl Bridges; Allen Gene and wife Berta Eckermann; Daniel Charles and wife Karen Eckermann; Lawrence Dale and wife Marsha Eckermann; Buck and wife Sue Eckermann; Arlie Bruce and wife Jennifer Eckermann; thirteen grandchildren; and, one brother Oliver Rudloff and wife Waldine.
