Yolanda Hinojosa Mendez

YOLANDA HINOJOSA MENDEZ, 66, of Brookshire, Texas, passed away Friday, July 24, 2015, at her home in Brookshire. She was born September 12, 1948, in Sebastian, Texas, the daughter of Jose and Eloisa Ortega Hinojosa. She grew up and attended schools in Idalou, Texas. In 1976, Yolanda moved to Brookshire. Yolanda was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and also enjoyed drawing and sewing. Yolanda is survived by her son: Matthew Mendez; daughter: Angelica McBroom and her husband, Justin; grandchildren: Elijah Sylas Brown and Elisa Phoenix McBroom; brother: Manuel Hinojosa and his wife, Francis, Abel Hinojosa and Christopher Hinojosa, and her former husband, Tony Mendez. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Eloisa Hinojosa.
