Tommie Linzy Maness, 76, of Sealy, Texas, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at his home. He was born on May 10, 1938, in Madisonville, Texas, the son of Linzy Jasper and Virgie (Curry) Maness. Tommie grew up and attended schools in Houston, graduating in 1956, from Milby High School. He served his country in the United States Army from 1957-1959. In 1963, Tommie was united in marriage to Billie Sanford, in Houston, Texas, on July 26, 1963. He and Billie moved to Sealy in 1975. Tommie was employed with Cameron Ironworks for over 19 years as a machinist and he also worked for Johnson Pump and Value in Brookshire, retiring from both companies. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, racing cars and he was a Ham Radio Operator. Tommie is survived by his WIFE: Billie Maness of Sealy; CHILDREN: Wanda Brast and her husband, Victor, Jr., of Cat Spring, and Tommy Ray Maness of Sealy. He is also survived by his GRANDCHILDREN: Danny Brast and his fiancée, Cortney Reynolds, Josh Brast and Tieran Maness and GREAT GRANDDAUGHTER: Raelynn Brast. He is also survived by two SISTERS: Betty Maness of Spring Branch, Ellean Etheridge and her husband James of The Woodlands, and a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Tommie was preceded in death by his parents, Linzy and Virgie Maness and a brother, Lee Maness.
