GUADALUPE ARREDONDO ARIZOLA, 72, of Pattison, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015, in Katy, Texas. Guadalupe was born March 8, 1942, in Fowlerton, Texas. The son of Thomas Arizola and Antonia Arredondo Arizola, he grew up in Cotulla, Texas and attended school in Fowlerton. Guadalupe later attended Parkside University in Wisconsin. On August 4, 1958, he married Sylvia Ortiz in Cotulla, Texas. Guadalupe and Sylvia made their home in numerous places before settling in Pattison, Texas. Guadalupe was employed as a car salesman by Wright Auto Sales in Brookshire and for Leon King Auto in Houston for ten years. He later worked in maintenance for Brookwood and then Royal ISD. A talented accordion player, Guadalupe was well-known in the Tejano music business. He played in various bands including the Casanovas, Lupe Y Julian, Los Viejones and La Quinta Union. Guadalupe enjoyed working on cars in his free time. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, and treasured the time he was able to spend with his family. He is survived by his WIFE: Sylvia Arizola of Pattison; DAUGHTER: Rachel Bailey and her husband, James, of Brandon, Mississippi; SONS: Jose Arizola and Steve Arizola, both of Katy; GRANDCHILDREN: Brianna Bailey, Tori Bailey, J.J. Bailey, Kenny Zigner and Brandon Zigner; SISTERS: Eloisa Garza and her husband, Andres, of Houston and Florinda Martinez of Tilden; BROTHERS: Tomas Arizola and his wife, Sandy, of Pattison, Antonio Arizola and his wife, Luta, of Silsby and Frank Arizola of Tilden; NEPHEWS: Tommy Arizola and Neal Arizola; and many other dear friends and relatives. Guadalupe was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Gloria Estella Arizola Zigner.
