FLOYD ALLEN MIKESKA, 73, of Kenney, Texas, passed away Monday, January 19, 2015, in Bryan, Texas. He was born July 13, 1941, in Bellville, Texas, the son of Frank Herbert and Helen (Roehling) Mikeska. Floyd was baptized on August 31, 1941, and was confirmed at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Phillipsburg, Texas. He grew up and attended schools in the Bellville area. During high school, Floyd was a member of the Naval Reserves. In 1959, he graduated from Bellville High School and then attended Blinn College until 1960. Following college, Floyd enlisted into active service with the United States Navy. Floyd was united in marriage to Patsy Lynn on February 20, 1965, in Bellville, Texas. He was in the banking business in Brenham and Houston for many years, but his passion for cars lead him to work in auto sales and management, having worked at Tegeler Chevrolet and Toyota. He also enjoyed raising his cattle and making hay. Floyd is survived by his LOVING WIFE: Patsy Mikeska of Kenney; BROTHER: Delano Mikeska and his wife, Donna, of Early, Texas; MOTHER-IN-LAW: Doris Lynn of Brenham; BROTHERS-IN-LAW AND SISTERS-IN-LAW: Joe Ed and Patsy Lynn of Bellville, and Fred Lynn and Judy Hedden of Kenney; NIECES: Greta Gammill and her husband, Matt, of College Station and Paige Lynn of Amarillo; NEPHEWS: Jon Lynn of Bellville and Zack Lynn of Amarillo; GREAT NEPHEWS: Garett Gammill and Vann Lynn. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Helen Mikeska, son, Michael Lynn Mikeska and father-in-law, Edgar Lynn.
