CLAYTON ADAIR WILLIAMS, 89, of Baytown, Texas, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014, at his home. He was born December 11, 1924, in Channelview, Texas, the son of Edward and Ella (Davidson) Williams. Clayton grew up and attended schools in the Channelview area. He served in the United States Army from 1945 to 1946 with the 458th Amphibious Truck Company, obtaining the rank of Corporal . Clayton was united in marriage June 3, 1950, to Jimmie Odom, in Channelview, Texas. Clayton was employed as a Route Delivery Driver, advancing to Marketing Sales for the Coca Cola Bottling Company in Houston, Texas. He was a volunteer for the Texas Baptist Men, where he would help build church camps. Clayton was a Master Mason with C.A. Fortner Masonic Lodge #1304 AF&AM in Channelview, Texas. He was an avid outdoorsman, Clayton enjoyed hunting and fishing. Clayton is survived by his Wife: Jimmie Williams of Bellville; Son: James Williams and his wife, Jacqueline, of Bellville; Grandchildren: Kirsten Brownson and her husband, Ryan, and Kimberly Williams, all of College Station and Great Grandchildren: Grace Kutach and Emily Brownson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Ella Williams, son, Clayton Adair Williams, Jr. and sister, Geraldine Whitsel.
