Dorothy Louise Look Schreiner, 86, of Fulshear, is celebrating victory in Jesus as she passed from this life into eternity on Tuesday, May 13, 2014. Dorothy was born April 24, 1928 in Houston, TX to August and Minnie Look. She grew up on a farm in the Spring Branch area off Bunker Hill, formerly known as Look Rd. Dorothy married Elroy Arthur Schreiner on August 16, 1947 in Houston and shared 63 years of marriage before his death in 2011. Before children, she worked downtown as a secretary, then stayed home to raise 5 children. In 1967, when the youngest was 4, she went back to work as secretary to the principal of Youens Elementary School. From there she went to the superintendent''s office where she stayed to serve as secretary to 6 different superintendents before retiring after 22 years in Alief ISD. Dorothy and Elroy made their home in Brookshire from 1986 to 2011. She lived her last several years with her daughter, Carol and her husband, Stewart. Dorothy was always actively involved serving her Lord in many different capacities including church secretary, choir, and teaching Sunday School to both teens and adults. She shared the love of Jesus with everyone she met. Dorothy is survived by her brother, August Look and his wife, Mary; Children: Carol Evans and her husband, Stewart; Donna Soule and her husband, Edward; Diane McPheeters and her husband, Paul; Richard Schreiner and Patti Schreiner; Grandchildren: Kenneth Evans and his wife, Caryn; Caren Gandy and her husband, Jim; Nicole Palacios and her husband, Tony; Rachel McPheeters, Victoria Raines, and Ana Soule, 8 great-grandchildren and many other dear friends and family. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Elroy, her parents, her sister, Ethel Taylor, grandson, Jonathan Soule, and great-grandson, Taylor Raines.
