FRANK ANTHONY PIERANTOZZI, 80, of Bellville, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Methodist West Houston Hospital. Frank was born November 6, 1933, in Follansbee, West Virginia, to parents Francisco and Anna Marie (Abbradanza) Pierantozzi. He grew up and attended the Follansbee schools until his enlistment in the United States Air Force at seventeen. During his enlistment he earned his GED. He loved to travel and the Air Force provided him with the opportunity to see most of Europe including Italy where he was able to visit his paternal grandparents. After his honorable discharge, Frank worked at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel and as a railroad conductor for Intramill Railroad. After his retirement from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, he lived in New Mexico, Ohio and Texas. In his later years, he enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. He and his wife, Waneta, had most recently made their home in Bellville, Texas where Frank volunteered extensively (over 1285 hours) at the Bellville hospital making popcorn two days a week. Frank was also an active member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and the Bellville Knights of Columbus Council #9268, and a 4th degree with Sealy Knights of Columbus #3313. He leaves behind his WIFE: Waneta Alvis Pierantozzi of Bellville, Texas; THE MOTHER OF HIS CHILDREN: Pauline Pierantozzi of Follansbee, West Virginia; A DAUGHTER: Elaine Licata and her husband, Michael, of Weirton, West Virginia; SONS: Gary Pierantozzi of Follansbee, West Virginia, Paul Pierantozzi and his wife, Diane, of Bellville, Texas, Frank Pierantozzi and his wife, Cathy, of The Woodlands, Texas; STEPSON: John Alvis and his wife, Mary, of Follansbee, West Virginia; SIX GRANDCHILDREN; TWO SISTERS: Jeanette Hale and Maryann Lee, both of Ohio; and many other dear friends and relatives.
