Eleanor "Elly" Faye Begg Schmidt

Eleanor Faye Schmidt was born in Grand Junction, Iowa, on January 28, 1927, to Margaret and William Begg. She is survived by her husband of 67 years O. William (Bill) Schmidt of Bellville, TX, daughter Pat Marquis, Fayetteville, TX and three grandchildren Chris Kosler and her husband Matt from LaGrange, TX, John Marquis and his wife Sandra from Spring, TX, and Brian Marquis and his wife Hanna from Kingwood, TX, seven great grandchildren, one nephew and three nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents and her five brothers and sisters, three of which were born in Scotland. She loved the time she spent traveling in their various RV's. She enjoyed traveling to Europe, Jerusalem, Panama Canal, and Alaska. She had the joy of visiting, Scotland, from where her parents immigrated with two of her sisters. She loved the sounds of bag pipes, the beauty of heather (Scottish Flower) and a good cup of tea. She had many interests over the years. She volunteered at Bellville General Hospital, did "Meals on Wheels" with her husband for 10 years, and belonged to the Joy Sunday school class at the Bellville United Methodist Church. She leaves behind many dear many friends who were always there for her in the good times and the bad times. She greatly appreciated their kindness. To Dr. Gay, thank you for keeping her stable for all these years and always being there for her and the rest of the family.
