Monica Gail Chavez

MONICA GAIL CHAVEZ, 56, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2014 at her home in Brookshire, Texas. Monica was born on July 10, 1957 in Bellville, Texas, to parents, Dan Ross and Naomi Gaines Ross. She grew up and attended school in Brookshire, Texas. Monica married her loving husband, Felipe Chavez, on January 17, 1976. They made their home in Brookshire, Texas, where she enjoyed being a homemaker and a mom. After raising her four children, she used her skills in many different professions in which she showcased her care for others and contributed to something more than herself. The commitment to her husband, Felipe, was a labor of love; the care she constantly bestowed upon him can never be replaced and will surely be missed. The memories shared with our friend, mother, sibling, daughter and confidant will live on forever and as long as we remember her. Monica will live on forever in our hearts. Monica is survived by HUSBAND: Felipe Chavez of Brookshire, Texas; DAUGHTERS: Trisha Chavez and husband, Adam, of Houston, Texas and Michelle Chavez of Houston, Texas; SONS: Jamil Chavez of Kirkland, Washington and Daniel Chavez of Houston, Texas; MOTHER: Naomi Ross of Sealy, Texas; SISTERS: Dian Schneider and husband, Kenneth, of Sealy, Texas and Susan Ross of Houston, Texas; GRANDCHILDREN: Elizabeth, Jacob, Ruth, Danielle and Eileen. She was preceded in death by her father, Dan Ross.
