Robert Allen "Pawdie" Ueckert, 90, a lifelong resident of Bellville, Texas, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014 in Bellville, Texas. Robert was born in Bellville, Texas on November 10, 1923 to Albert Ueckert and Ollie (Koerth) Ueckert. He was a graduate of the Bellville High School Class of 1941. Robert served in the United States Air Force during World War II, and married Jeanette Waak on July 3, 1943 in Houston, Texas. He was employed with the Humble Oil Company in Katy, was a member of the American Legion, Future Farmers of America, Life Member of Coshatte Ag Society, the Cattleman''s Association, a Life Member of the Austin County Fair Association and a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Bellville. "Pawdie" was a farmer and a rancher, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and dominoes. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Jeanette Ueckert of Bellville. Daughter Linda Acebo and husband Roy; son Kenneth Ueckert and wife Peggy all of Bellville. Sister Bonnie Thurmond of Katy, Texas. Grandchildren Bobby Fick and wife Kim of Bellville; Susan Curlee and husband Bobby of Franklin, Tennessee; Allen Ueckert of Houston, and Melissa Durham of Bellville. Great grandchildren Katie and Chandler Claire Curlee; and Kayla and Cordell Durham. Step grandchildren; D. J. Janosky and Devan Janosky. Step great grandchildren, Kailyn Schubert and Kinlee Janosky. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-laws Albert Thurmond, James Waak and his wife Verlien. He will be remembered for his favorite line "Okay, Bobby, it is time to go round and round, and make them round."
