Carl Frank Herreth

CARL FRANK HERRETH, 88, passed away on March 11, 2014, in Bryan, Texas. He was born on April 30, 1925, in Collegeport, Texas, the son of Albert Casper and Elizabeth Clara (Garvender) Herreth. Carl grew up attended schools in Jackson County. In 1944, Carl enlisted in the United States Army, serving his country in World War II. He was Honorably Discharged, in 1946. Carl was united in marriage to Irene Josephine Pecha in Houston, Texas, on May 1, 1948. He served as a Commander of the Lolita VFW Post #8556. He was a member of the Lolita Fire Department and served his community as a Deputy Constable for Jackson County. Carl also was a member of the A.F.L. - C.I.O. In 1987, he retired from Alcoa Aluminum after serving 36 years as a welder. Carl and Irene made their home in Bellville, Texas, in 1994. Carl is survived by his WIFE: Irene; 5 CHILDREN: Carl, Anton, Carol, David and John; 14 GRANDCHILDREN AND 17 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Elizabth Herreth, brother, Lawrence, sisters, Lois and Viola, and one grandchild. Honorary Pallbearers are his grandchildren.
