CARL GARLD UTLEY, of Fulshear, Texas, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014, at the age of 75. Carl was born August 15, 1938, to parents, Owen O. and Lois Elizabeth James Utley, in Hardy, Arkansas. He grew up and attended school in Arkansas before eventually making his home in Fulshear, Texas. He married the love of his life, JoAnn Utley, on May 31, 1997. Carl and his wife are owners of Cable Routing & Terminating (CRT) in Houston, Texas, and The Exotic Urn in Fulshear, Texas. Carl served as Fulshear City Councilman, alderman, and as a former mayor. Carl was dedicated to the children of Fulshear and spearheaded the establishment of the Regional Park Fund in Fulshear, Texas. He will be remembered for his ability to refurbish old antiques, with his specialty being in clockwork. Carl is survived by his WIFE of 16 years: JoAnn Utley; SON: Marcus Utley and his wife, Shay, of Mansfield, Texas; STEPSON: Robert Heath Noble and his wife, Mary, of Victoria, Texas; STEPDAUGHTER: Desiree Turnipseed and her husband, James, of Deer Park, Texas; SISTER: Barbara Mathis and her husband, Jerry, of Jonesboro, Arkansas; BROTHER: Edward Utley and his wife, Pat, of Hardy, Arkansas; GRANDCHILDREN: Triston, Lauren, Mya, Brett, Katie, Maegan, Jay; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. A celebration of Carl's life will take place Saturday, January 18, 2014, at the Irene Stern Community Center in Fulshear, Texas, from 2:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M., with a Memorial Service at 2:30 P.M.
