Ora Dell Kollman

Ora Dell Reeder Kollman, 85, passed away from this life to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, December 21, 2013. She was born on October 22, 1928, at New Ulm (Henkhaus Community), the daughter of Otto and Hilma (Holzmann) Reeder. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in New Ulm. She attended the Henkhaus School, Industry School, and graduated from Columbus High School in 1945. She married the love of her life, Charles Fred "Buck" Kollman on June 30, 1946, at St. John Lutheran Church, New Ulm; a long and happy marriage of 67 years. She and Buck moved to Bellville in 1946, and she went to work in the Austin County Courthouse for many years. She retired early so she could spend time with her grandkids, who she adored. She loved to cook and to dance as long as she was able. She led a life of service and was involved in many community activities and organizations including church secretary and Sunday school teacher for many years at St. John Lutheran Church, Bellville, member of Ladies Aid, Texas Sportsman's Association, past President of the VFW #6522, member of the American Legion #115, Coshatte Agricultural Society, Woodmen of the World #3060, Den Mother, and many other organizations. She was always busy baking cakes, cookies, casseroles, and desserts for others and enjoyed hosting and attending domino parties with her friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and a wonderful wife. She had a beautiful life filled with family, friends, and relatives who all adored her beautiful smile, kind and generous heart, and radiant personality. She is survived by her husband, Charles Fred "Buck" Kollman, sons, Fred E. Kollman and wife Karen (Emshoff), William Dale Kollman and wife Debra (Peschel); grandchildren, Kristy Kollman Thompson and husband David Kipp Thompson, Andrew Fred Kollman and wife Carrie (Sisa), Tammy Kollman Goebel and husband Blair Goebel, and Kitt William Kollman; great grandchildren, Jordyn Lee and Amanda Kay Thompson; and sister in law Ernestine "Steenie" Kollman Green. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and cousins. Ora Dell was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Hilma Reeder, mother and father in law, Percy and Mary Ann Leyendecker Kollman, brother Joe Reeder, sisters Isabella Reeder Kirchhoffer and Josie Reeder Ellermann, sisters in law Doris Kollman Green, Nona Leyendecker Etheridge Schmidt, Mary Ann "Toodie" Kollman Venghaus, brothers in law William "BIll" Kirchhoffer and Herbert Ellermann, Emmit Venghaus, Richard Green, and Alois "Mickey" Schmidt. Pallbearers are nephews Charlie Hill, Howard Wickliffe Wilbert Gross, Larry Green, Tom Schmidt, Ronnie Venghaus, Jack Green, Robert Schmidt.
