Norma Ilene Cook Massey, 79, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2013, in Houston, Texas. She was born August 13, 1934, in Morrill, Kansas, the daughter of Virgil Eugene and Louise Pardels Cook. Norma grew up and attended schools in Fairview, Kansas. Norma was united in marriage to William Walter Massey, on May 3, 1951, in Ennis, Oklahoma. She and Walt made their home in Kansas, before moving to Houston in 1956. In 1976, they moved to Sealy where they were members of the First United Methodist Church in Sealy. Norma enjoyed reading, camping, scrabble, farkel, crocheting, eating out with friends and watching channel 13 soap operas and the love of her life were her grandchildren. Norma is survived by her DAUGHTER: Terri Massey Routt and her husband, John, of Kenney; SONS: Mike Massey of Illinois and Marvin Sharp and his wife, Sharon, of Houston; SISTERS; Glenda Allen of Kansas, Virgina Batson and her husband, Bill, of Illinois and Colleen Rennison of Illinois; BROTHER: Eugene Cook of Montana; GRANDCHILDREN: April Carson and Brad Cobb; STEP-GRANDCHILDREN: Brian Sharp, Kristi Flores and Brandy Routt; GREAT- GRANDCHILDREN: Phoebe Carson, Ashley and Megan Flores, Christian, Jordyn and Brinnley Cobb and numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends and relatives. Norma was preceded in death by her husband, William Walter Massey, parents Virgil and Louise Cook, sister, Wanda and great grandson Robert. Pallbearers are Rudy Fojtasek, Marvin Sharp, Brad Cobb, Alex Flores, Edward Carson and Chase Reid. Honorary Pallbearers are Russ Christopher, John Routt and William Batson.
