KAREN KRISTINA MCCORMICK LOMAX, 47, of Pattison, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2013. She was born in Portsmouth, Virginia, to Frank and Barbara Baker on March 16, 1966. She grew up in Rock Island, Illinois, and later moved to the Katy, Texas area. She resided in Pattison, Texas for the past 13 years. Karen was united in marriage to Brett Lomax on November 4, 2000, and they renewed their vows at Christ Lutheran Church in Pattison on November 19, 2012. Karen was proud to be a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Pattison where she had served as Sunday School Superintendent. Karen''s proudest achievement was being a mom and she was a mom to many. She was always ready to help and people could always count on her. Her favorite activity was spending time with her family, her friends and her animals. Karen leaves behind her HUSBAND: Brett Lomax; DAUGHTERS: Kristina McCormick, Tate Lomax, Taylor Lomax, Shea McCormick, Sara Cole Barnette and her husband, Bobby; PARENTS: Barbara and Bruce Erenberger; SISTER: Cindy Hancock and her husband, Jeff; STEPBROTHERS: Dennis Erenberger and his wife, Debbie, Dana Erenberger and his wife, Janet, Doug Erenberger and his wife, Barb; and numerous nieces, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Baker. At the time of her passing, Karen was living out her dream enjoying a Disney cruise with the person she loved the most, her daughter, Kristina. She enjoyed life to its fullest and will be greatly missed by all, but never forgotten.
