Paul Gene "Robin" Mueller

Paul Gene (Robin) Mueller, 72, of Sealy, Texas died in Katy, Texas on Monday, September 9, 2013. He was born in Pasadena, Texas, on December 17, 1940, to Innes Paul Mueller and Norma Nathaleen (Balke) Mueller. He graduated from Pattison High School, and entered Sam Houston State University. Upon graduation, Robin entered into the U.S. Army, serving over 19 years and obtaining the rank of Major. While serving, he received the Vietnam Service Medal, Bronze Service Star, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm Cluster. He also received a Meritorious Service Medal, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Bronze Star Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, the National Defense Service Medal and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. Following his military service he became a water well driller and repairman retiring in 2010. He was united in marriage with Nina (Whitt) Mueller in April of 1978 and then moved to Sealy where they resided for the remainder of their lives. He was a 50 year member of the Brookshire Masonic Lodge #1066 AF&AM. Robin is survived by his MOTHER: Norma "Mouci" Mueller of Brookshire, Texas; BROTHER-IN-LAW: George Barnett of Plattsburgh, New York; NEPHEW: Jeff Bruner of Cadyville, New York; SISTER-IN-LAW: Corinne and husband, Jamie Erwin, of Gatesville, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nina Mueller, in 1999, father, Innes Mueller, and a sister, "Cookie" Natalie Barnett. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2013, from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at the Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel, 819 Waller Avenue, Brookshire, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 P.M., on Thursday, September 12, 2013, at the Restland Cemetery in Gatesville, Texas. Memorials may be made in Paul's name to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 815 Market Street, Galveston, Texas, 77550-2725, or to the charity of one's choice.
