Morris was born March 23, 1934, in Smithville, Texas to parents, Carlie Critendon and Veneta Hoffman Critendon. After growing up in and attending schools in Bay City, Texas, Morris became a proud Bearkat at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. He served in the Army from July 9, 1954 - May 29, 1956, as a Specialist Third Class stationed in Germany. Morris later became a gas analyst and eventually started his own company, Critco Flow Measurement in Houston, Texas. Morris is survived by his wife, Lyn Trammell Christopher of Simonton, Texas; SON: Dean Critendon and his wife, Tina, of Cypress, Texas; DAUGHTERS: Kathi Waggoner and her husband, Steve, of Spring, Texas, Missi Baranowski and her husband, Sam, of Conroe, Texas; STEP-SON: Charles Weiche and his wife, Gina, of Houston, Texas; STEP-DAUGHTERS: Lori Christopher of Katy, Texas, Amber Christopher and her husband, Justin Branum, of Lewisville, Texas; BROTHER: Bobby Critendon and his wife, Timmie, of Austin, Texas; SISTER-IN-LAW: Janice Critendon; GRANDCHILDREN: Kyle Waggoner, Taylor Waggoner, Cameron Critendon, Blake Critendon, Mackenzie Critendon, Dustin Baranowski, Marissa Baranowski, Christopher C. Weiche, Ryan Weiche, Devin Weiche, Quinn Branum; GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Lane Waggoner, Corinne Weiche; and numerous nephews and great friends. Morris is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Carl William Critendon. The family will have a Celebration of Life Service in honor of Morris Saturday, August 17, 2013, at 36714 Ranchero, Simonton (Valley Lodge), Texas 77476.
