Margie Pearl Bertling Wendt

MARGIE PEARL BERTLING WENDT, 81, resident of Bellville, Texas, went to be with the Lord on August 6, 2013. She passed away in a La Grange nursing facility. Margie was born December 16, 1931, in Flatonia, Texas, the daughter of George Henry and Ora Needham Bertling. After graduating from Bellville High School, she married the love of her life, D.G. Wendt, on June 18, 1949, at the St. John Lutheran Church in Bellville, Texas. Margie enjoyed attending Circle Meetings at St. John Lutheran Church, quilting and crocheting, and Oral Roberts Ministries. Margie is survived by her HUSBAND of 64 years: Delton Gus Wendt; DAUGHTERS: Peggy Pfeiffer and her husband, Odis, of West Point, Texas, Patsy Rutta of Bellville, Pamela Muske and her husband, Doyle of Wesley, Texas; BROTHER: Lewis Bertling and his wife, Ruby, of Willow Springs; HALF-BROTHER: Jack Bertling and his wife, Maxine, of Moulton, Texas; GRANDSONS: Odis Pfeiffer, II, Steven Pfeiffer and his wife, Ronda, Jared Rutta and his wife, Tonya, Jordan Rutta, Jermey Muske; 4 GREAT-GRANDSONS, 2 GREAT-GRADDAUGHTERS and numerous nieces, nephews, dear friends, and SPECIAL PROVIDER: Peggy Ann Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Jane Klump and Joyce Bertling, brothers, Melvin Bertling and Charles Bertling, and grandson, Dutch Muske. Pallbearers for the service are Odis Pfeiffer II, Steven Pfeiffer, Jared Rutta, Jordan Rutta, Jermey Muske, and Scott Klump. Honorary pallbearers are Clarence Johnson, Steve Majors, and Delano Pfeffer. Friends who wish may make Memorial Gifts to the charity on their choice.
