John Edward Nemeth

September 10, 1983 — July 7, 2013

JOHN EDWARD NEMETH, 29, of Brookshire passed away suddenly July 7, 2013. He will be missed by his family and many dear friends. John Edward was born September 10, 1983, in San Antonio, Texas. He grew up on the Mossleigh Farm in Brookshire and attended Faith West Academy in Katy. From his early years all through high school, John played baseball, football and basketball. After graduating high school in 2002, he then attended Texas State where he graduated with honors earning his degree in Business Administration. He worked in commercial real estate development. John Edward was proud of his Polish heritage but he also loved his country and was proud to be an American. He enjoyed traveling and had visited Europe and China, and particularly enjoyed cruising every chance he got with his brother, Hunter, and his friends. An outgoing young man, John was a "kid magnet," who enjoyed making others laugh. He was especially devoted to his family and friends, and was willing to help someone in need without being asked, always giving generously to friends and strangers alike with a joyful heart. John was an avid sports enthusiast and loved the outdoors. He attended live sporting events every chance he got. His favorite professional teams were the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians and the San Antonio Spurs. And his favorite college teams were the Texas State Bobcats and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He was fascinated with films and documentaries about warfare and weaponry. John had a sweet tooth. He could never get enough Dr. Pepper and always had a bag of candy nearby that he was willing to share. He was particularly proud to be the uncle of Preslee Leppert and godfather to Mia Isabella Giamalva and Poul Rockford Owens, III. John Edward is survived by his MOTHER: Betty Ann Brown Davis; FATHER: David Nemeth and his wife, Danelle; STEP-FATHER: Steve Davis; SISTERS: Lesliann Nemeth Boyd and her husband, Garrett, and Caley Davis; BROTHERS: Hunter Davis, Johnny Nemeth, James Nemeth, Jacob Nemeth and Jackson Nemeth; GRANDPARENTS: Mrs. Leslie Cletus Brown, Jr., Dolores Nemeth, and Mr. and Mrs. Smokey Davis; NIECE: Preslee Leppert; and numerous other relatives and dear friends.
