Andrea L. Davila

ANDREA (LLEVERINO) DAVILA passed away at her home surrounded by her family, on Saturday, May 18, 2013, after her courageous battle with Alzheimer''s. Andrea was born February 4, 1920, in Waelder, Texas, to Seferino Lleverino and Francisca (Montalvo) Lleverino. She was one of five children. She grew up in the Fayetteville County area, where the entire family moved from farm to farm, often living in campsites. Andrea married Rafael Davila on November 9, 1940, in Brookshire at his home on Wilpitz Road. Rafael preceded Andrea in death on December 9, 1983, after 43 years of marriage. Her greatest desire was to be a mother, and she was successful having twelve children who called her the "Sergeant" of the family. She was the proud grandmother of numerous grandchildren including a great, great, great grandchild, whom she held in her arms just days before her passing, and she knew them all by name. Andrea enjoyed music, gardening, crocheting, quilting by hand, cooking and entertaining family and friends. But most of all, she treasured the time she was able to spend caring for her family. She is survived by her DAUGHTERS: Sophie Hernandez of Houston, Sara Navarro of Pasadena, Ester Jimenez and husband, Joe, of Humble, Louisa Fletcher and husband, Patrick, of Brookshire, Anita Lemonudas and husband, Anastasios, of Katy, and Margaret Schneider and husband, Chet, of Bellville; SON: Henry (Ricky) Davila of Brookshire; SISTER: Carmelita Murillo of San Bernardino, California; 39 GRANDCHILDREN; 79 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN; 14 GREAT GREAT GRANDCHILDREN; AND 1 GREAT GREAT GREAT GRANDDAUGHTER; and many other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Rafael Davila; daughter, Dolores; sons, Rafael, Jr., Teddy, and Charley; three grandsons, a sister and two brothers.
