Harry Boyd Vermillion

Harry Boyd Vermillion, 78, passed away Monday, February 18, 2013, at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston. Harry was born August 4, 1934, to Jesse and Louise Dooley Vermillion, in Shamrock, Texas. In 1953, Harry graduated from Shamrock High School. He served in the National Guard and he was a plant operator for Valero. He married his high school sweetheart, Marilyn, on August 30, 1954. Harry was a dedicated member of the Cowboy Church in Brenham. Harry and Marilyn rode the Salt Grass Trail ride for 17 years. He enjoyed gardening, riding horses, playing on his ipad, wood carving and working at 7iL Ranch. Harry is survived by his wife: Marilyn; Sons: Randall and Donald; and daughter: Rita; grandchildren: Chad, Beau, Brianna, Darci, Jacob, Brooks, Scott, Bridget, Ben and Madelyn; and 7 great grandchildren. Harry is also survived by sisters: Laverne and Betty. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
