Ruth H. Roeske Munn

Ruth Helen Roeske Munn died peacefully on December 31st, 2012, at the age of 96. She was born in Davenport, Iowa, on March 16, 1916, to Ernest Roeske and Ada Caldwell. Ruth was preceded in death by both of her parents, her four siblings and husbands, Henry "Jake" Schaeffer, Floyd H. Oakley and Edward A. Munn. She is survived by her children, Bonnie L. Tucker and Robert "Bob" Schaeffer along with numerous family members, extended family members and friends. She had many careers, raising both her civilian and military families, had the distinction of being the first female real estate agent in Austin, Texas, and ran for County Commissioner for Tulsa County, Oklahoma. Her retirement years were spent enjoying 25 years of friendships at Walden on Lake Conroe, Texas. She also enjoyed playing golf with the Nine Hole Group and Short Knockers. She has the distinction of having shot a "hole in one" at both age 81 and 89. The family wishes to Thank the caring staff of the Solana, the HHR and the Amazing Grace Hospice.
