EVELYN MARIE (MEENEN) MUSICK, longtime Houston resident, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2012, in a Bellville nursing facility at the age of 90. Evelyn was born October 20, 1922, in Galveston, Texas. The daughter of John and Adna (McGee) MeenEn, she grew up and attended school in Galveston, graduating from Ball High School. On May 29, 1946, she married Reagan Musick in Houston, Texas. They made their home in Houston where Evelyn was employed as a secretary for the Port of Houston. Reagan preceded Evelyn in death in 1982. A Baptist by faith, Evelyn had been a member of the Broadway Baptist Temple while living in Houston. She has made her home in Bellville, Texas for the past five years. Evelyn enjoyed studying the Bible, baking, sewing and traveling. A devoted grandmother, she treasured the time she was able to spend caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Evelyn is survived by her TWO SONS: Forest H. Musick and his wife, Beverly, and Keith Musick and his wife, Linda; ONE DAUGHTER: Brenda Nieswiadomy and her husband, Kenneth; SIX GRANDCHILDREN; FOUR GREAT GRANDCHILDREN; ONE SISTER: Edna Jenkins; and many other dear friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Adna (McGee) Meenan, her husband, Reagan Musick and one sister, Margaret McMichael.
