SHIRLEY MAE JANOSKY KENT, 75, of Cat Spring, Texas passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Shirley was born December 11, 1936, in Houston, Texas, the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Edna Frieda Hartman Janosky. She grew up and attended school in Houston graduating from Reagan High School. On August 5, 1963, she was united in marriage with Herbert Ken in Houston. They made their home in Houston before moving to Cat Spring in 1985. Shirley was a member of Christian City Fellowship in Sealy and the Brenham Art League. She had numerous interests including painting, gardening, fishing and reading. She was also an excellent cook and enjoyed canning. Shirley is survived by her HUSBAND OF ALMOST 49 YEARS: Herbert Kent of Cat Spring; TWO SONS: James Kent and his wife, Lauri, of Montgomery, Texas and Douglas Kent of Huffman, Texas; ONE DAUGHTER: Karen Dinkins and her husband, Warren, of South Lake, Texas; and GRANDCHILDREN: Monika Dinkins, Garrett Dinkins, Alyssa Bryner, Chris Kent and Devon Kent. She is also survived by her BROTHERS: Tommy Janosky, Raeford Janosky and Ben Janosky; SISTER: Lynda Schlebach; BROTHER-IN-LAW: Dean Kent; SISTERS-IN-LAW: Barbara Montz and Janice Kirshke; and numerous other relatives and dear friends. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Shane Kent.
