CAROL ANN JENKINS COCHRAN, 62, of Houston, Texas, passed away Monday, July 2, 2012, in a Houston hospital. Carol was born December 26, 1949, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The daughter of Gerard and Axie Juneau Jenkins, she grew up and attended school in Lake Charles. After graduating from Marion High School in 1969, she then earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in nursing in 1987 from McNeese State University in Lake Charles. She moved to Houston in 1988 and began her career in nursing working for CIGNA Healthcare for ten years. She was a Catholic by faith. An avid romance novel reader, Carol had enjoyed playing Canasta the past couple of years. She is survived by her TWO DAUGHTERS: Shelly Caldwell and her husband, Kevin, of Houston, Texas, and Charlene Taylor and her husband, Johnny, Jr., of Katy, Texas; GRANDCHILDREN: Sarah, Johnny, III, LeeAnn, Sammy, Natalie, James and Jacob; BROTHER: Terry Jenkins and his wife, Peggy, of Westlake, Louisiana, SISTER: Lynda Jenkins-Rantovich and her husband, Richard, of Bowie, Maryland; NEPHEW: David Jenkins of Lumberton, Texas; NIECE: Amy Mathis of Beaumont, Texas; and many other dear friends and relatives. Carol was preceded in death by her parents and her son, James "Jamie" Cochran.
