ANNIE LEE BLEZINGER PESCHEL, 89, of New Ulm, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2012, in Columbus, Texas. Annie Lee was born December 26, 1922, in Industry, Texas, to parents Fredrick and Johanna Kuehn Blezinger. She grew up and attended school in Industry, was confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in 1936, and graduated from high school in 1939. On December 24, 1945, Annie Lee married Newton Peschel at the Welcome Lutheran Church. They made their home in Industry and were members of the Welcome Lutheran Church. A devoted wife and homemaker, she was an excellent cook and enjoyed growing and canning her own vegetables. She also raised chickens and sold the eggs to Lindemann's Store to make money for her family. Annie Lee enjoyed sewing and made all of her daughter's, Barbara Ann's clothes for school. She also loved doing embroidering. She is survived by her HUSBAND OF OVER 66 YEARS: Newton O. Peschel of Industry; DAUGHTER: Barbara Ann Kautz and her husband, Danny, of Columbus; and GRANDCHILDREN: Jarrod Gross and his wife, Lena, of LaGrange, Jason Kautz of Austin, and Kim King and her husband, Ron, of Midlothian. Annie Lee is also survived by her GREAT GRANDCHILDREN: Jessica Ann Gross, Elizabeth King, and Charles Daniel King; and numerous other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers: Werner Blezinger and his wife, Alma, Monfred Blezinger and his wife, Lillie, Norbert Blezinger and his wife, Linda, Herbert Blezinger and his wife, Grace, Eldie Blezinger and his wife, Earlene; and four sisters: Erna Blezinger, Ada Blezinger Meyer and her husband, Harold, Ora Blezinger, Hertha Blezinger Peschel and her husband, Lloyd.
