ROSALIO "CHARLEY" DAVILA of Wilmington, California, formerly of Brookshire, Texas, passed away Monday, December 12, 2011, in a Harbor City, California hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 63 years old. Charley was born September 4, 1948, in Brookshire, Waller County, Texas to parents Ralph and Andrea Lleverino Davila. He grew up and attended school in Brookshire. As a child, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Charley was united in marriage with Guadalupe Maldonado in Hempstead, Texas in 1969. He was employed as a welder in the steel industry for SA Recycling Company, the world's largest recycling plant. For the past 25 years, he has made his home in Southern, California. A very outgoing individual, Charley always had a smile on his face and was "the life of the party." He loved music and dancing, and enjoyed gambling and always bought lottery tickets. He was a generous individual who was always willing to help anyone who needed it, and would give the shirt off his back to someone who needed it. He is survived by HIS WIFE: Guadalupe Davila; FOUR CHILDREN: Paula Davila Karras and her husband, Leo, Jessica Davila Greene and her husband, Will, Carlos Davila and Charley Davila; EIGHT GRANDCHILDREN; MOTHER: Andrea Davila; SIX SISTERS: Margaret Schneider, Louisa Fletcher, Esther Jimenez, Sophia Hernandez, Anita Lemonudas and Sara Navarro; ONE BROTHER: Ricky Davila; and many other dear friends, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Charley was preceded in death by two sons, Alexander and Richard Davila, his father, Rafael Davila, two brothers, Teddy Davila and Ralph Davila, and his sister, Dolores Rivas.
