Richard Alan Ruble of Pattison, Texas died peacefully at home with his family on Friday, September 16, 2011 at the age of 60 years. Al was born on August 27, 1951 to James and Mildred Ruble in San Angelo, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, James Ruble and his father-in-law, John R. Tatum. > > Al was married for 32 years to his love and eternal companion Mary Jane Ruble. Together they raised two loving and beautiful daughters. He will be forever in the hearts of his daughter Kristin Ruble and her partner Bonnie McDonough, his daughter Sarah Jane Stevens, her husband Kyle and their son Kyle Mark Stevens Jr., his mother Mildred Ruble of Shreveport, his brothers James Michael Ruble of Galveston and Robert Blake Ruble and family of Katy, and his mother-in-law Corrie P. Tatum. > > Al had a deep faith in God and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. As a young man he loved hunting, fishing and boating with his family and was an avid private pilot, reveling in the sights of the world around him. Through the years he was passionate about golf and looked forward to spending time with his friends at Stephen F. Austin Golf club. He loved to travel, especially to Europe where he loved to walk and take in the architectural sights. Al enjoyed a long and prosperous career in commercial construction. He took tremendous pride in his work, enjoying the satisfaction of leaving a mark on the world. > > The family wishes to thank the wonderful nurses and doctors at St. Luke's Hospital and the Baylor College of Medicine who so compassionately cared for him the last two years.
