Wayne Earl Uhlig

WAYNE EARL UHLIG was born August 11, 1934, in Cat Spring, Texas, the son of Arnold and Gladys Theuman Uhlig. He grew up and attended school in Bellville, graduating from Bellville High School in 1952. Wayneserved in the United States Army from 1954 until 1956 during the Korean War era with dedication and patriotism. All those who loved him, will miss his kindness, but most of all a memory of him driving his beloved tractor on his ranch. Wayne was forever the loving father, the friend, and the neighbor, who could always be counted on. He was an ordinary man with anextraordinary gift of love and understanding. Wayne passed away in Humble, Texas, on Wednesday, July 20, 2011. He was surrounded by his family as he entered into eternal rest at the age of 76. Wayne is survived by his DAUGHTER: Jennifer Sofranko and her husband George of Kingwood; SON: Gregory Bryan Uhlig of Pasadena; GRANDSON: Zack Meruelo of College Station; BROTHER: Robert Uhlig and his wife LaVerne of Cat Spring; COUSIN: Larry Uhlig of Cat Spring. He is also survived by numerous other family and dear friends. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents Arnold and Gladys Uhlig.
