Osie Ola Lock

OSIE OLA (WIENKE) LOCK was born December 8, 1927, in New Bremen, Texas, the daughter of Louis and Emily Olga (Zanek) Wienke. She grew up and attended New Bremen schools, graduating from Bellville High School. Osie met and married James E. Huebner, on June 11, 1949. Osie and James made their home in Galveston, Texas, where they were blessed with their first daughter, Debby, before moving to Bellville. Osie and James were then blessed with their second daughter, Denise. James preceded Osie in death in January, 1983. On January 2, 1988, Osie married Everett H. Lock, in Bellville, Texas. Everett preceded Osie in death in May, 2005. Active in community affairs, Osie was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church, Martha Circle, Bluebonnet Society of Austin County, Bellville Historical Society, Exxon Retirement Group, and a member and past officer of the Woodmen of the World, Bellville Family Lodge #3060. An honorary member of the Bellville United Methodist Church, Osie enjoyed being a part of the Bellville United Methodist Church Fun Bunch Lunch. She loved sewing, cooking, any and all current events, and traveling. She especially enjoyed her last trip to Alaska and Vermont with her daughters and son-in-law. Osie loved her life and treasured the times she spent with her children, great grandchildren and her great granddaughter, Lauren. She passed away Friday, July 1, 2011, in Katy, Texas, at the age of 83. She is survived by her DAUGHTERS: Debby Cochran, of Katy and Denise Roberts and her husband, Randell, of San Antonio; GRANDCHILDREN: Keeley and Kelsey Kurtz, both of Houston and Natalie Pullin and her husband, Eric, of Victoria; and GREAT GRANDDAUGHTER: Lauren Alyssa Pullin, also of Victoria. Osie is also survived by her NIECE: Jeanenne Klesel; NEPHEWS: Val Jean Janecek, Arleigh Pfeffer, Michael Potts and Douglas Potts; and numerous other relatives and dear friends. Osie was preceded in death by her first husband, James E. Huebner, her second husband, Everett H. Lock, son-in-law, Jerry Cochran, parents, Louis and Emily Wienke, and sister, Evelyn Janecek. Pallbearers were: Arleigh Pfeffer, Val Jean Janecek, Michael Klesel, Dean Kollatschny, Buck Kollman and Mark Roberts. Honorary Pallbearers were: Josh Roberts, Sean Kollatschny, Jason Kollatschny and Harry Roberts.
