Kristopher Lee Stow

August 29, 1979 — June 17, 2011

KRISTOPHER LEE STOW, resident of League City, Texas, died on Friday, June 17, 2011, at the age of 31. Kris was born in Bryan, Texas, on August 29, 1979, and grew up in the Katy and Simonton areas. He attended Mayde Creek High School and later went to work as an ROV Supervisor for Canyon Offshore, a Helix ESG Company. He married Erin Stanley on November 10, 2007, in Santa Fe, Texas, the love of his life, his beloved "E". Together they made their home in League City, Texas. A devoted husband and father, Kristopher's greatest accomplishments were his children, Cameron and Cortnee Stow. He cherished every moment he spent with them and he always put their needs first. Kris was an avid Harley Davidson rider, an experienced sailor, general aviation pilot, flight simulator expert, carpenter, golfer, pool shark, wake boarder, snorkeler, ROV extraordinaire, drag racing enthusiast, guitarist, vocalist, dirt bike rider, photographer, 3D drawing expert, book reader, animal lover, and generally a jack of all trades. It would be easier to list the things he didn't do and didn't want to try, but he wanted to do everything at least once and poured everything he was into what he chose to do. He loved his career and had an extreme passion for the offshore work that he did and the offshore family that he worked with. Kris was looked to as an expert in his field and was known by all in the industry. His ability to make friends with everybody on board, regardless of rank, age or nationality, endeared him to all. He is survived by his wife, Erin Stow, son, Cameron Stow, daughter, Cortnee Stow, parents, Katy Bradley and Chris Davison, Fred Stow, Jr., and Deb Stow, sister, Tiffany Janzen and husband, Eric, mother and father-in-law, Bob and Debbie Thomas, grandparents, Fred and Dolores Stow, aunt, Susan Hill, cousins, Dee Hill, Sukie Turner, uncle and aunt, James and Marti Jo Stanley, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Garrett and Colleen Stanley, nephews, Dillon and Luke, and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and co-workers. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Charles Stanley and grandfather, Milton Lee Stanley, and brother-in-law, Bryan Thomas.
