BERDINE (WRIGHT) EHLERT, lifelong Pattison resident, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011, in a Katy nursing facility at the age of 89. Berdine was born November 7, 1921, in Pattison, Texas, the daughter of William Roy and Barbara Elisha (Barton) Wright. She attended the Pattison schools graduating from Pattison High School in 1938. On October 19, 1940, Berdine was united in marriage with Lawrence Ehlert in Fulshear, Texas. They made their home in Pattison where they were members of the Pattison United Methodist Church. A devoted wife and mother, Berdine enjoyed cooking and treasured the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening and flowers, and anything "artsy" particularly quilting and crocheting. A kind-hearted lady, Berdine was always willing to lend a helping hand to someone in need. She is survived by her CHILDREN: Carole Bentley and her husband, Leigh, Sr., of Fulshear, Raymond Ehlert and his wife, Grace, of Eatonton, Georgia, Donald Ehlert and his wife, Cheri, of Katy, Rodney Ehlert and his wife, Carol, of Hempstead, and Kevin Ehlert of Sealy; GRANDCHILDREN: Leigh Bentley, Jr., Janet Montgomery, Beth Bentley, Raenell Franz, Amy Ahern, Dolly Meals, Conan Ehlert, Thomas Ehlert, Kendall Ehlert, Courtney Reichardt and Nicholas Ehlert; numerous GREAT GRANDCHILDREN; SISTER-IN-LAW: Loyce Ehlert of Brookshire, and many other dear friends and other relatives. Berdine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brother, Seaborn Barton Wright, and sister Bernice Wright.
