Raymond Fritz Bosse

April 21, 1917 — April 6, 2011

"The Haven of His Love" The Sea of Life is rough and stormy And my craft is small and frail, But with God's hand upon the wheel I can weather any gale! Through the shoals of Disappointment, With cruel reefs on either side, With the Master as my Pilot, My ship will safely ride! And when doubts and fears assail me, And seek to overwhelm, In perfect peace I rest securely, For God is at the Helm! And when life's last storm is weathered, Neath clear blue skies above, My ship will find safe harbor In the Haven of His love! - Jon Gilbert RAYMOND FRITZ BOSSE was born April 21, 1917, in Wiedeville, Texas, to William and Emma Wiesepape Bosse. He attended Wonderhill Community School in the New Wehdem area, with brothers Johnnie, Willie, and Arnold. The family then moved to Phillipsburg to start the family store. On August 11, 1940, he married Elfrieda Hold in the New Wehdem church, and they were blessed with two sons, Gene and Don. He was a dedicated employee of Texas Southeastern Gas Company, which later became Coastal States, for 38 years. Elfrieda died in 1974, and he continued his active role in the community and in St. John Lutheran Church. There he served in the Lutheran Brotherhood and was involved in almost every committee in the church. On December 1, 1979, Raymond married Lillie Abel at St. John and they enjoyed 31 wonderful years of dancing, dominoes, and fishing. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, his three brothers, his wife, Elfrieda, and son Gene. Raymond passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at his home, in Bellville, at the age of 93.
