Alicia Ruiz Pena

ALICIA RUIZ PENA, went home to be with her Savior on Tuesday, January 25, 2011. Alicia was born March 15, 1945, in Reynosa, Mexico, the daughter of Ernesto and Maria Zamora Ruiz. She married Cesar Jose Pena on December 18, 1966, in Mexico, and together they started their family. Alicia and Cesar moved to Brookshire in 1979, where they were active members of the Primera Iglesia Bautista Hispana Church. A wonderful homemaker, devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Alicia treasured the time she was able to spend with her family. She used her beautiful voice to sing her praise and love for her Lord Jesus Christ. She leaves behind her HUSBAND OF 44 YEARS: Cesar Jose Pena; DAUGHTERS: Diana Pena-Hernandez and her husband, Francisco, Patricia Pena, Lilly Pena; SON: Cesar Pena, Jr.; GRANDCHILDREN: Carlos Zuniga and his wife, Blanca, Javier Zuniga, Aidan Hernandez, Anya Pena, Pili Pena, Zoe Lopez and Xochitl Lopez; and ONE GREAT GRANDCHILD: Kimberly Zuniga. Alicia is also survived by HER SISTERS: Margarita Ruiz, Delia Ruiz, Cristina Ruiz Wallace, Martha Ruiz Funes; BROTHERS: Homero Ruiz, Roberto Ruiz, Artemio Ruiz and Gilberto Ruiz; her DEAR FRIEND IN CHRIST: Maria Flores; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
