DANIEL HART, JR., 62, longtime Brookshire resident, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2010 in a Houston hospital surrounded by his loving family. Daniel was born February 6, 1948, in New Orleans, Louisiana. The son of Daniel Hart, Sr. and Fannie Mae Jones Hart, he grew up in Oak Lawn, Louisiana and attended school in Franklin before moving to Houston. In 1980, he moved to Brookshire, Texas where he started Hart's Carpet and then Brookshire Carpet. On April 20, 1985, Daniel was united in marriage with Hearlean Mobley in Brookshire. In 1985, he confessed a faith in Christ and was baptized at the Zion Hill Baptist Church in Brookshire. While a member of Zion Hill, Daniel served as Chairman of the Deacon Board, taught Sunday School and sang with the Male Chorus. He had most recently been a member of the Church Without Walls in Houston where he served as a Decision Time Counselor, and was a member of the Joshua Men. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Daniel treasured the time he was able to spend with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Ebony Social Club. He leaves to cherish his memory, his BELOVED WIFE: Hearlean Hart of Brookshire; CHILDREN: Danny Hart of Franklin, LA and Gregory Hart of Waupun, WI; STEPSONS: Donald Mobley, Jr. of Houston and Richard Allen Mobley of Katy; STEPDAUGHTER: Jennifer Foster of Katy; A HOST OFGRANDCHILDREN; AND GREAT GRANDCHILDREN. Also surviving Daniel are his SISTERS: Ella Mae Johnson and her husband, Henry, of Kent, WA, Sandra Hart of Federal Way, WA, Alaine Jones and her husband, Arthur, of Franklin, LA, and Cora Henry, also of Franklin; BROTHERS: Robert Hart of Franklin, LA, Rodney Hart of Gulfport, MS, Clayton Hart of Brookshire,TX, Herbert Hart and his wife, Clara, of Morgan City, LA, and Jerome Hart of Beaumont, TX; GODDAUGHTERS: Katacha Miller and Briahna Haynes; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many other dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandchild, Drian Mobley.
