Ray Henry Sturm

RAY HENRY STURM was born March 11, 1923, in Brookshire, Texas, the son of Gus and Lena Kohler Sturm. He grew up in Brookshire and graduated from Katy High School. Ray enlisted in the United States Army in December 1942, and was honorably discharged in December 1945. He married Anita Muskiet on July 3, 1949, in Sealy, TX, and together they have made their home in Brookshire for over 61 years. He was a Catholic by faith and a member of the V.F.W. Post #9182 in Katy. Ray was quite the carpenter and enjoyed taking care of his cows. The thing that brought Ray the most joy was taking care of his children and grandchildren. He passed away Friday, December 17, 2010, at the age of 87. He is survived by his WIFE OF 61 YEARS: Anita Sturm; DAUGHTER: Sharon Jones and her husband, Tom; SONS: Carlos Ray Sturm and his wife, Carolyn, Gerald Keith Sturm and his wife, Laura, and Kevin Dale Sturm and his wife, Donna; GRANDCHILDREN: Chad Jones and his wife, Sarah, Kristen Richards and her husband, Brian, Renea DeYoung and her husband, Chris, Curtis Sturm, Ken Sturm, Samuel Sturm, Justin Sturm, Dustin Sturm, Zachary Sturm and Zoey Sturm.
