RALPH "BILL" CLINE, was born January 27, 1937, in Seabrook, Texas, the son of Edward Riley Cline, Sr. and Lucille Brummerhop Cline. He was a 1955 graduate of Webster High School where he graduated as Salutatorian of his class. Ralph continued his education at Lee College of Baytown where he earned two Associate Degrees. He then served his country in the United States Navy in the South Pacific. Ralph worked for the Texas City Refinery and was in the refinery when it exploded in the late 1970's. He later retired from the refinery, which is now Valero, after more than 35 years with the company. A Lutheran by faith, Ralph was united in marriage with Bettie Grimes on July 15, 1964. He loved spending time on his farm, Steeple Hill Farm, in Praha, Texas, polka dancing, and spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed floundering in Galveston, camping and tubing down the Frio River at Garner State Park, and road trips to Colorado. Ralph passed away peacefully at his daughter's home Saturday, December 11, 2010, surrounded by his loving family after his long battle with cancer at the age of 73. Ralph is survived by his DAUGHTER: Terra Machacek and her husband, Rick, of Bellville; STEPSON: Robert Cooper and his wife, Debbie, of Pasadena; STEPDAUGHTER: Tyra Creed and her husband, Rusty, of La Porte; GRANDCHILDREN: Brennen, Brittany, Breanne, Branden, Chelsea, Courtney, Steven, Ryan, Blaine and Shelby. Ralph is also survived by his SISTERS: Jeannette Quinn and her husband, Jack, of Brenham and Emma Lou Gilmore and her husband, Darwin, of Cypress; BROTHER: Donald Cline and his wife, Dianne of Florida.
