GENE RAYMOND BOSSE died suddenly November 11, 2010. He will be remembered fondly as a devoted husband, loving father, doting grandfather, caring son and loyal friend. Gene was born on January 4, 1944, in Brenham, TX, the son of Raymond Bosse and Elfrieda Hold Bosse. He grew up in the Christian faith, being baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Bellville, TX. He graduated from Bellville High School and earned Bachelors and Masters degrees in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Texas. He married Carol Tiemann at St. John Lutheran Church in Bellville on January 29, 1967. They moved to Fort Worth where their daughters Sharon and Susan were born. Gene worked for General Dynamics and Miller Brewing Company. In 1980, a job transfer took him to Upland, CA where the family lived for 20 years. He retired from his position as Operations and Technical Services Manager in 2000, after 25 years of service. The call to return to his roots in Texas was strong, and he and Carol moved to Lakeway in 2000, where they have made their home, enjoying precious time together. In the past ten years Gene has devoted his time to family and his love for the great outdoors. He spent many hours fishing, hunting and playing golf. Trips to California to see the children and grandchildren were frequent. He is survived by his wife Carol, of Lakeway, Texas, two daughters Sharon and her husband Jesse of Thousand Oaks, CA, Susan and her husband Erik of Santa Barbara, CA, and four grandchildren, Evan and Ryan Lin, and Ava and Noal Vasquez, also his brother, Dr. Don Bosse and his wife Adrienne of Bellville, two nephews Jason Bosse and wife Kimberly of Chicago, IL, and Kyle Bosse of Fort Worth, TX, as well as his father Raymond Bosse, stepmother Lillie Bosse and mother-in-law Gladys Tiemann, all of Bellville. He was preceded in death by his mother Elfrieda Hold Bosse. Friends are invited to join the family in the Faith Center for refreshments following interment.
