SHARON SUE DAVIDSON ZUBICEK, 63, of Cat Spring, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2010, in a Bryan hospital. Born November 19, 1946, in Witchita Falls, Texas, Sharon was the daughter of William and Helen McWhorter Crews Davidson. She grew up and attended school in Midland graduating from Robert E. Lee High School. In February 1976, Sharon moved to Cat Spring. On February 14, 1981, she married Edwin Zubicek in Cat Spring. She was employed as a substitute teacher. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Sharon loved attending her grandchildren's sporting events and being a part of their lives. She was a great support to them in all of their activities, and treasured every moment she was able to spend with them. Sharon was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Cat Spring and active in the Share Croppers Tractor Club. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping and gardening. She is survived by her HUSBAND: Ed Zubicek of Cat Spring; DAUGHTER: Marcy Grimes and her husband, Russell, of Lake Jackson; SON: Brian Gardner and his wife, Keili, of Bellville; and GRANDCHILDREN: Brandon Bergen, Brent Bergen, Stetson Whitley, Krystin Grimes, Jace Grimes, Kimi Hayes, Tyler Gardner, Harley Gardner and Macie Gardner. Also surviving Sharon is her SISTER: Cindy Reagan and her husband, John, of Giddings; STEP-FATHER: Allen McWhorter of Brady; and many other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Mike Davidson.
